Medical Disclaimer
What SakhiiCircle can help with, and where it stops.
We are not a medical service
SakhiiCircle is a community and an information resource. It is not a clinic, we do not provide medical care, and nothing here creates a doctor–patient relationship.
Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history. If something is worrying you, please speak to a doctor — and if you have already spoken to one and felt dismissed, please speak to another.
What other women share here
The experiences women post are personal accounts, not clinical guidance. Perimenopause varies enormously between women. Something that helped one person may do nothing for you, or may not be safe for you.
Community posts are reviewed by a moderator before they appear, but moderation checks for safety and tone. It is not a clinical review, and approval does not mean anything has been medically verified.
Answers marked “Verified Expert”
Some contributors carry a Verified Expert badge, meaning we have checked their professional credentials. Their answers are still general information written without examining you, without your history, and without tests. They are not a consultation.
Questions sent through “Ask an Expert”
A question asked there is published in the Circle after review, where members and verified experts can answer it. We cannot guarantee that an expert will reply to any particular question, and an answer that does come from one is still general information rather than a consultation.
Please get medical help promptly if you have
- Bleeding that is unusually heavy, or lasts longer than normal for you
- Any bleeding after your periods have stopped for twelve months
- Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or fainting
- Severe abdominal or pelvic pain
- A new lump anywhere, including in your breast
- Thoughts of harming yourself
This list is not complete. Trust yourself: if something feels wrong, that is reason enough to be seen.
If you are in crisis
Please do not wait for a reply here. Contact your doctor, go to your nearest emergency department, or reach a crisis line in your country. In India, Tele-MANAS offers free mental health support on 14416, at any hour.
