About SakhiiCircle

A circle of women navigating perimenopause together.

Why this exists

Around 120 million women in India are in the midlife window right now. Roughly three in four who seek care report feeling unheard by the medical system.

Most women reach perimenopause having been told almost nothing about it. Symptoms arrive without a name attached — the sleep that breaks at 3am, the word that will not come in a meeting, the anger that arrives out of nowhere — and each one gets carried privately, in the belief that it is a personal failing rather than a shared and well-documented experience.

SakhiiCircle exists so that the question you have been carrying can be asked somewhere, and answered by women who have lived it.

What “Sakhi” means

A sakhi is a woman's close friend and confidante. That is the register we are aiming for: not a clinic, not a forum, and certainly not a support group with a waiting list. A circle of women who understand what you are going through.

What we believe

  • You should be able to ask without being judged. There is no silly question here, and anonymity is available every time you post.
  • Lived experience is worth something. What was ordinary for you may be the answer another woman needed this week.
  • Safety comes before growth. Every question and answer is read by a moderator before it appears.
  • We will not pretend to be doctors. We help you understand what is happening and prepare for a real consultation. We do not diagnose.
  • Your privacy is structural, not a promise. When you post anonymously, your identity is not merely hidden — it is not stored anywhere the community can reach. See the Privacy Policy.

Who is behind it

[This section is for the founder to write — who started SakhiiCircle and why. It is usually the most-read paragraph on a page like this, and it should be in her own words.]

Come in

You can read everything in the Circle without signing up. When you are ready to ask something yourself, we will be here.
